Water Garden Sigiriya

Surrounded by 35 acres of tranquil waterways, lily ponds, and manicured water features directly facing the majestic UNESCO monument of Sigiriya Lion Rock, Water Garden Sigiriya is an architectural triumph. Drawing profound inspiration from the legendary 5th-century hydraulic engineering and royal water gardens of King Kashyapa, this resort marries ancient landscape aesthetics with contemporary boutique luxury.

Waterfront Villas & Private Plunge Pools

Designed by celebrated Sri Lankan architect Channa Daswatte, the 30 spacious villas are positioned across landscaped waterways so that each enjoys complete privacy and undisturbed sightlines toward Sigiriya Rock. Villas feature hardwood sundecks, separate living salons, and private plunge pools or Jacuzzis. The interiors celebrate organic palettes of timber, stone, and woven silk, creating an atmosphere of refined serenity.

Fine Dining Facing the Lion Rock

The resort's central dining pavilion sits elevated above the water gardens, offering multi-tiered terraces where guests can dine while marveling at Sigiriya Rock glowing in the amber sunset light. Executive chefs prepare a masterly fusion of authentic Sri Lankan culinary specialties and international haute cuisine, complemented by an extensive wine cellar.

Cultural Triangle Exploration & Spa Serenity

After an invigorating sunrise climb up Sigiriya Rock or Pidurangala, retreat to the serene sanctuary of the resort's spa, offering treatments using local herbal decoctions and aromatic oils. The property also arranges private 4x4 elephant safaris into Minneriya and Kaudulla National Parks, traditional village walks, and helicopter transfers directly from its private helipad.
