Goatfell

Set high upon a working tea estate near the mist-veiled mountain city of Nuwara Eliya, Goatfell is an exquisitely renovated former estate manager's residence. This intimate four-bedroom boutique bungalow radiates the nostalgic elegance and gentle pace of up-country living during the golden era of Ceylon tea, elevated by contemporary five-star indulgence.

Colonial Heritage & Boutique Luxury

With just four lavishly furnished suites—Concordia, Dunuwille, Finlay, and Gordon—Goatfell guarantees profound peace and exclusivity. Restored original hardwood floors, high vaulted ceilings, and roaring hearths in both the private rooms and communal sitting areas evoke timeless colonial grandeur. Step outside onto the covered veranda to take in sweeping views of manicured tea hills that plunge into the surrounding valleys, or unwind in the heated infinity-edge pool perched dramatically on the estate's contour.

Artisanal Dining & Estate Living

Dining at Goatfell is an artisanal celebration of Ceylon hill-country terroir. Resident chefs curate personalized menus utilizing vegetables harvested daily from local up-country allotments, paired with artisanal cheeses and premium meats. Whether it is an al fresco lunch overlooking the misty tea pluckers at work, an authentic Sri Lankan rice and curry spread, or an exquisite fine-dining dinner beside the log fire, the culinary journey is deeply comforting and sophisticated.

Discovering Little England & High Trails

Goatfell provides an idyllic base to discover Nuwara Eliya's iconic landmarks, including the historic 18-hole Nuwara Eliya Golf Club, Lake Gregory, and the Pedro Tea Estate. For trekkers, Horton Plains National Park and World's End precipice are within comfortable driving distance, welcoming you back in the afternoon to hot-water bottles, handcrafted cocktails, and soothing estate teas.
